Hyderabad/New Delhi: Election talk takes a weird twist crony capitalismOn Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi accused Congress of receiving money from “Ambani and Adani” asking if they got “huge quantities of black money” from the two businessmen to make Rahul Gandhi stop “insulting” them during elections.
“You must have seen that for the past five years, Congress party Shehzada used to chant slogans from morning to night… ever since his Rafale issue fell by the wayside, he started shouting ‘five industrialists’… …Then there was ‘Ambani-Adani’ but since the elections were announced, these people (Congress) have stopped misusing Ambani-Adani,” the Prime Minister told a rally in Karim Nagar, Telangana. Said above.
The Prime Minister said Thursday in Telangana while addressing a political rally that he needed to ask something. As I stand here today, let him declare how much money he has taken from these elections of Ambani-Adani… How many bags of black money? Is tempos full with notes already reached Congress? How long does it take to reach Parliament? What happened What deal? (I request from the land of Telangana, let Shehzada declare how much money he has taken from these elections of Ambani-Adani… How many bags of black money? Is the tempo filled with banknotes Already reached Congress?
For five years Cong’s Sheikhzada used to shout out the five industrialists Ambani-Adani…but since the elections were announced, these people (Cong) have stopped insulting them. Let him announce how much money was taken from Ambani-Adani …how many bags of black money? The rhythm full of banknotes reaches the bush? What agreement was reached?
Prime Minister Modi
PM Modi said there must be something fishy about this (“daal me kuch kaala hai”) because for five years they (Congress and Rahul) abused Adani-Ambani and it stopped overnight. “This means you have received some rhythmic load of ‘chori ka maal’ (robbed money),” he added.
The Prime Minister’s allegation about huge amounts of black money that accrued to Congress is strange given opposition party caricatures of crony capitalism targeting him.
Despite the Congress dismissing the charge, saying Rahul has been attacking Ambani and Adani, there are indications that the BJP may not shut down the new front it has opened. According to sources in the BJP, unlike in previous occasions, Adani-Ambani would no longer be at the centre stage for this congress campaign. “In any case, isn’t Ambani now removed from the crony capitalism narrative they have concocted?” one source asked.
Modi focused on alleged corruption in Telangana state under Congress government led by Revanth Reddy where he said part of bribe taken by an ‘R’ in Hyderabad was being transferred to Another “R” in New Delhi. Alluding to Telugu bombshell “RRR”, Modi mentioned that Telangana was discussing “RR tax”. “Even the children of Telangana know about double R tax…You all know about RRR film but someone told me that RR has left RRR film on the collection. As you know, RRR has made more than Rs 1,000 crore , but I heard that RR collected so much money in a few days and they organized so much loot,” he said.
Referring to “RR,” though he did not disclose any particular names, the Prime Minister is said to have meant Rahul and Ravensh Reddy. “The money collecting ATMs would be started wherever the Congress forms a government” he also stated making reference to Jharkhand ministers’ staff that had unaccounted cash.
Modi said after the third phase of voting, there was a short in congress wire and the Indian bloc has to search for winning seats under a microscope after the fourth phase.“Congress already had to use a magnifying glass anyway to see which seats they could win in; now after three rounds of voting, they realize they have to upgrade their magnifying glasses and only then will they understand that there are still some where victories can be given,” Modi said.
“Until we have Congress with us, lies and deceit will never end,” commented Modi. “This party is anti-SC/ST/OBC…all reservations must go to Muslims,” added one prominent member from Congress alliance. Even though Ambedkar made it clear that no reservation can be given on the basis of religion. They do not want SC, ST and OBCs come and take away their seats,” he added.
