Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan Moved lahore high courtHe sought post-arrest bail in several cases filed against him on May 9, ARY News reported.
Imran Khan said in his plea that he was detained by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Islamabad on May 9 and had nothing to do with the violence that broke out that day. The PTI founder described the cases registered against him as an act of “political revenge”.

PTI founder files case in Lahore High Court following incident anti-terrorism court (ATC) rejected his bail pleas on May 9 in eight cases, including the Jinnah House attack.
The PTI founder said, “The ATC has rejected the bail application, which is contrary to the facts.” Earlier, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khanum said that the PTI founder has decided to appeal to the international community. Human Rights Organization (IHRO) presents its case.
Alima Khan told reporters outside Adiala jail that Imran Khan was not allowed to communicate with his children. She further said, “He was not allowed to see a doctor and the treatment amounted to torture.”
Aleema Khan claimed that no court was ready to hear their petition. “The PTI founder said we have no choice now,” she said. According to ARY News, she said Imran Khan planned to take the case to international human rights organizations.
She mentioned that the founder of PTI laughed heartily at the press conference of Rana Sanaullah, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs of Pakistan. Imran Khan’s sister said, “Our family is receiving threats and warnings.” She further said, “We have taken our responsibility as a family.”
Violence broke out in Pakistan after the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9, 2023. Police armed forces were called in from the provinces, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad to ensure law and order.
Army installations, including the residence of the Regimental Commander in Lahore, were attacked amid protests by PTI workers. It is worth noting that Imran Khan is listed as the main accused in the May 9 riot case.
