YSRCP leaders claimed that TDP-BJP-Janasena alliance candidate CM Ramesh hatched a plan to kill their candidate Mutyala Naidu using drone reconnaissance.
Mutyala Naidu allegedly attacked his brother-in-law, BJP leader Gangadhar. He allegedly slapped Gangadhar. After learning about the incident, Ramesh rushed to Tharuva village where cadres allegedly attacked him and damaged the vehicle.
Sources said the BJP leaders have been taking drone photos to show that their party has reached various villages after hoisting BJP flags in the villages. As part of this, they showed enthusiasm for capturing footage of the BJP even reaching its opponents’ own villages. The YSRCP cadres and leaders were suspicious of the actions of the BJP leaders, who forced the drone operators to take drone footage, captured them and handed them over to the police.
TDP leaders and alliance partners gathered at Devarapalli police station late at night to lodge a complaint against Mutyala Naidu and his supporters. Police are tight-lipped about the incident.
