Last night, a seemingly interesting episode smack down The story takes place in Oklahoma City, just a week away from Bad Blood. The show has some hints: a twist, a friendship that almost falls apart, and a great tag team match. If anything, the show ensures that on the way to bad blood. But it also comes with some dull moments.
Here are the three best moments and the three worst moments from last night’s SmackDown
best moments
1. Bailey vs. Naomi (#1 Contender Match)
You could argue that the showdown between friends Naomi and Bayley to determine the number one contender for Nia Jax’s Women’s Championship was the best or at least the second-best match of the night. The match immediately picks up the pace with Bayley taking Naomi down for a count of two. Naomi controlled the match throughout the match with moves like the haircut serve and some big dives. Bayley retaliated with a “Goldbuster” and then hit a Sunset Flip into the turnbuckle. After some great counters from Naomi, Bayley finally hit the Bayley to the Belly on her to set up her top rope elbow drop. After performing her finishing move, Bayley defeated Naomi and became the number one contender at Bad Blood.
2. Carmelo Hayes VS Andrade.
Before the match, while Andrade and Los Angeles Knight were talking backstage, Carmelo sneak-attacked the United States Champion. Cut to the match between Hayes and Andrade, and Knight comes out to settle the score with Hayes. Andrade stopped him and told him to move away, but Hayes pushed Andrade from behind. Eventually, Hayes rolled up Andrade and won the match, angering Andrade. While the matchup between the two new foes was, as usual, exciting, the LA Cavaliers’ interference wasn’t really needed.
3. Kevin Owens/Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens bloodline.
At the beginning of the game, there was a game between the two sides Kevin Owens and Randy Orton Against Jacob Fatou and Solosikoya. As Cody, Randy and Kevin talked in the ring, The Bloods came out to cause trouble as always. In response, Owens decided to fight Pedigree in a tag team match. The game itself was a lot of fun from the get-go. Owens and Fatu got into a brawl outside the ring, with Orton and Sikoya joining them. Later, in an “OMG” moment, Orton put Jacob Fatu on the announce table four times before doing the same to Sikoa. As the match progressed, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loya decided to intervene as usual, prompting Cody Rhodes to come out and attack them. Amid the chaos, Solo and Jacob managed to hit Kevin Owens with finishing moves to seal the victory. While the match was pretty good, the way Kevin and Randy lost it was among the worst moments of last night.
worst moment
1. Michon vs. Piper Niven.
Unfortunately, the game was a lackluster performance with no breakout moments. In the end, Michon defeated Piper Niven with a pinfall, while Chelsea Green stepped in with all her might.
2. Andrade and the Los Angeles Cavaliers almost got into a brawl.
After the match between Andrade and Carmelo, Andrade unfortunately lost due to interference from the Los Angeles Knights, and Knight and Andrade met backstage. Knight offered to shake his hand, and Andrade angrily pushed him away, nearly sparking an argument. Now, the angle between the two is confusing, as Andrade has already feuded with Carmelo. Unless a triple threat match is scheduled for the United States Championship, this entire match will go nowhere.
3. Orton and Owens lost to Bloodline.
The show began with Orton confronting Cody because he was unhappy with Cody being paired with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood. Cody replied that he had no choice but to trust Roman on Bad Blood. Then the match between Orton and Kevin against Bloodline also kicked off, and Bloodline won in the end. Cody being the reason for Orton and Kevin’s defeat isn’t the best idea since “Bad Blood” is only a week away. This was definitely one of the few memorable moments on SmackDown last night.
