YSR Congress Party YSRCP leaders and cadres all over Andhra Pradesh observed ‘Koshtaha’ rituals on Saturday September 28, 2024, intending to ‘expiate’ the ‘sin’ that the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu did in disrespecting the sanctity of Tirupati laddus’ by projecting negative stories (the sweet offering to the Lord Venkateswara).
Mr. Naidu was fierce lately during a national democratic alliance NDA legislative party meeting and said the earlier YSR Congress party YSRCP government even disrespected Sri Venkateswara temple and used bad quality ingredients and animal fat to prepare kada laddus.
As a result of the countrywide uproar, YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy stated, ‘Lies about the laddus are being told by Mr. Naidu, and no such sacrilege has ever happened at all while the ghee samples which were taken for testing, were during NDA.’
As a result, Mr. Reddy, netted out all women which had called upon their party members to perform expiation ceremonies of ‘sin’, if any such ‘sin’ exists about seeking dispensation from one Mr Naidu and his unfounded wishes.
Senior YSRCP party leader and any of the previous TTD Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams chairman B Karunakar Reddy offered prayers in Gangamma temple Tanathyuganta at Tirupati.
Similarly, other former Irrigation Minister Ambati Rambabu prayed at Venkateswara Swamy temple in Guntur among others.
Talking in a dialect news channel YSRCP leader Sharmila Reddy said, “Even Naidu brought God into the politics and over dramatized an imaginary scene. I just want to know one thing. Who was the chief minister when those ghee consignments [alleged adulterated ghee tankers] came?.” According to Mr. Naidu’s allegations, many supporters and activists of YSRCP even performed special rituals in opposition to him in Eluru district.
