West Bengal Teacher Recruitment: As mandated in the Kolkata high court order, the west Bengal school service commission WBSSC has published a final list of winners for recruitment of assistant teacher. Over 14,000 shortlisted candidates, including Counseling process which is believed will commence by the first week of October 2024, are available in the list.

Of the qualified eligible list of 14,052, about 9,000 are active in the main panel and the rest on the waiting list. The list available on the WBSSC site excludes excesses of the clause as the court ordered. Furthermore, documentation problems led to the exclusion of close to 100 other candidates.
Repeated delays have characterized the teacher recruitment process in the state of West Bengal ever since the upper primary classes Teacher Eligibility Test TET were first advertised in 2014. Several legal obstacles challenges rose from the alleged anomalies leading to a new order from the high court which enabled the conclusive consultative meeting to be held.
