Plans are underway, NBA Will soon see a historic moment on its pitch LeBron James and his son Bronny play for the Los Angeles Lakers.
“We’ve obviously talked about it as a staff and we’ve had some specific details on what that might be, but we haven’t made any commitments yet,” new Lakers head coach J.J. Redick told reporters recently.
“Obviously, once we’re with Bronny and LeBron, there’s going to be a discussion. They should be part of the discussion as well.”
Bronny is also likely to hone his skills in the developing G League, while LeBron, 39, enters his 22nd NBA season when he led Team USA to an Olympic gold medal in Paris last month.
“Bronny switched to LeBron and he took him to the baseline and moved him up and down the glass…the words exchanged after that were probably more challenging than anything else.”

Redick realizes that as James approaches 40, his workload needs to be better managed.
“I think everyone in this building knows he’s almost 40 years old. But when we watch pickup games, he’s going to give it his all. He’s on the court and he’s going to keep going,” the coach said.
The Lakers fired head coach Davon Hamm and replaced him with Redick.
