'Devil takes power': Jagan Reddy cancels Tirumala temple visit, says 'permission denied' amid Tirupati Ladu spat

New Delhi: Yangzhou Red Cross Society chief Jagan Mohan Reddy Slamming the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh on Friday, saying “demon Now in power in the state” as he “never saw political parties putting up obstacles, even for visiting temples”.
The former chief minister launched the attack after he canceled his trip to the Tirumala temple. Tirupati Radu line. Reddy was scheduled to reach Tirumala on Friday evening and visit the temple for darshan on Saturday.
Just hours before setting off for Tirupati from Tadpalle, Jagan decided to cancel the trip amid growing calls for a “declaration of faith” and security concerns.

Notice to leaders visiting temples: Reddy

The YSRCP claimed that the state police, on the basis of the order Chandrababu Naidu and minister Nara Lokesh issued a warning to YSRCP leaders ahead of Reddy’s visit, instructing them not to participate.
After canceling the trip, Reddy held a press conference, where he said that the police “are issuing notices to YSRCP leaders and cadres after my visit to Tirumala”.
“The police in their notice to the YSRCP leaders made it clear that no permission was obtained to visit Tirumala… Why do we need permission from the police to visit the temple?” Reddy added that “the devil is ruling” the state.
“The demonic reign continues in the state. The government is trying to prevent my upcoming visit to Tirumala temple. The police have issued notices to YSRCP leaders across the state regarding temple visits. The notice states that visits to Tirumala temples are not allowed , and the YSRCP organization’s plan did not receive the necessary approvals, therefore, the leaders were not allowed to participate in the plan,” the YSRCP chief said.

“Belonging to human society”

“On one hand, they issued notices to prevent me from visiting the temple, and on the other hand, BJP cadres entered the state from other places and police were deployed in large numbers at various locations. I don’t know if the BJP leadership is aware of this At one point, to divert the political focus, CM Chandrababu Naidu raised the laddu issue, saying animal fat was used in the manufacturing process of laddu prasadam, raising questions about the sanctity and pride of Tirumala du (Chandrababu Naidu) in TTD. A blatant lie on Laddu Prasadam,” the former chief minister told the media after canceling the trip.
The YSRCP chief said he will visit the temple on September 28 as part of the state-wide temple rituals called by the party to atone for the “sins committed by CM Naidu through the charges against Tirupati Laddus ”.
On the issue of “Declaration of Faith”, Reddy said that CM Naidu raised the issue of “Declaration of Faith” to divert attention from the unconvincing qualities of Tirupati Radu.
He further said, “People have raised a lot of questions about my caste. I read the Bible at home, I respect and follow Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism. I belong to the community of humanity. What does the Constitution say? If a person is equivalent to the Chief Minister not Being allowed into the temple, I questioned how Dalits would be treated.

Reddy defends ghee tender process

Defending the ghee procurement process, Reddy said: “CM Chandrababu Naidu is lying. E-tendering for ghee procurement is a routine process that has been going on for decades and is done every 6 months. Tirupati Laddu ) is very special.
“Every six months, (Laddu) tenders are floated and the lower bids are approved by the TTD committee. There is no government interference. The TTD committee is also special. The Union Minister and other state chief ministers have also recommended that the TTD tenders be conducted as per usual , suppliers conduct bidding and auctions.
“During the Chandrababu Naidu regime from 2014 to 2019, ghee was rejected nearly 14-15 times due to quality issues. There was a robust process. Similarly, from 2019 to 2024, it was rejected 18 times Reject and return.

“No adulterated ghee used”

“Four oil tankers failed tests in July 2024 during the Chandrababu Naidu regime. Samples from these tankers were supposed to be sent to CFTRI Mysuru, but instead they were sent to CFTRI Mysuru for the first time. NDDB. How is adulterated ghee used? says Reddy.
“The TTD executive hired by Chandrababu Naidu confirmed on July 23 that vegetable fat, namely Vanaspati Oil, was involved and a show-cause notice was issued to the supplier. The TTD EO subsequently confirmed on September 20 that adulterated ghee was not It is adulterated ghee.
