It is West Indies’s World Cup winning all Rounder Dwayne Bravo on Friday announced he would retire from every form of cricket for which he took a step into the Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders as a mentor.
After a long tenure with the Chennai Super Kings, Bravo parted the franchise in order to occupy the position of Gautam Gambhir at KKR who left the side due to his appointed vacancy as Team India head coach.
After KKR announced the news of Bravo’s joining the franchise, The 40 year old men expressed their cringe and also recollected Bollywood superstar and KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan’s words on the subject.
To our boss SRK also known as shah rukh khan because that’s what he always says. we are going to enjoy, we are going to have fun. We are going to party and we are going to win. From the Champion, Thank you very much Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo, Amir KKR”, Bravo said.
In the IPL Dwayne Bravo won three titles as a Player when he joined the Franchise, creating history in 2011.
In 2023, Bravo is the bowling coach of CSK, and at the same time worked as a consultant of the men’s afghanistan cricket team.
Besides KKR for which Bravo is likely to be in charge, he will also work for the various franchises under the knightriders flag in other T20 leagues.
