New Delhi: Taiwan The Department of Defense military reported 62 aircraft and 27 vessel On Saturday, 47 aircraft crossed the central line of the Taiwan Strait and entered Taiwan’s southwest, southeast and eastern air defense identification zones (ADIZ).
Until 6am today, 62 People’s Liberation Army Planes and 27 PLA Navy ships were not spotted operating around #Taiwan. Among them, some of these planes even managed to cross over the middle line in the #TaiwanStraitstrait and enter into different sections of the southwestern part of Taiwan as well as its south-eastern and eastair base continental shelfs. This was posted by Ministry of National Defense on X.
On two consecutive days that came before that, Beijing held a military exercise for two days between Taiwan Strait and surrounding areas. In this sense, the US State Department has been keeping an eye on developments since then.
At a briefing yesterday afternoon EDT, we have seen one such example when a spokesperson for the US State Department expressed concerns over joint military exercises conducted by Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), noting that what China is doing may escalate tensions as well as jeopardize years’ worth of agreements which have helped maintain stability across Asia-Pacific region over past decades.” “Political transition in Taiwan is part democratic process” says representative from The United States who continues by stating“The United States Government remains confident in our force posture and operational readiness in this region to support peace and stability while meeting our security commitments.”
The MND stated that there were numerous Chinese troops on or near its territory during China’s second day’s drills.
The Ministry has said: “These military exercises conducted by CCP are a reflection their hegemonic intentions which undermine regional peace and stability. We always stand ready to protect our motherland, do not desirous strife but will not flee from it.”
Meanwhile however; Taipei has made no secret about its resolve to defend itself against any aggression and it has also been stated by Taiwan’s military that it would not take part in the conflict.
