A senior manager snapshot, Steve Wong is leaving the company following over a decade, as per reports. The report also stated that earlier this week he had informed his team of his intention to leave. Huang has been serving as the Vice President since February for both Partnership and Strategy.
The Veteran Break’s exit of the executive follows an internal report about his conduct, The Verge reported with knowledge of the matter.
In a conversation, he once mentioned how he ate from a food truck in New York City called Bin Laden’s. It also mentions an interaction with a female employee over her rape whistle who allegedly got drunk with some Snap customers at the Cannes Advertising Festival in France last month.
Huang said that he will spend more time with his family in an internal memo. He appreciated the experience at Snap and thanked his former colleagues on being contacted for comment.
“Snap has been an amazing place to work and grow over my decade-long career there. I am fortunate enough to have worked with such an incredible team and can’t wait for my next chapter,” Huang declared.
Snapchat layoffs and departures
Snap is now experiencing another high-level departure of its Senior Vice President Partnership And Strategy SVPs. Many other top employees like Director Of Content, Vice President Of Content Engineering and Vice-President Of Platform Partnerships were laid off during cost cutting measures by the corporation.
This will involve laying off approximately 528 workers or around 10% of its workforce which was announced by the company back in February.
“Having made this tough decision, we are reorganizing our team to optimize our performance against our most important priorities and ensure incremental investments can support long-term growth,” Snap shared.
