BENGALURU: On the same pitch that hosted PBKS and KKR, RCB played their first home game against Punjab Kings and second game against Kolkata Knight Riders as well. After winning at the first instance, they went down to KKR who had more than enough wickets in hand when they chased 182. It is needless to say that death bowling on either side will be very important.
In the latter half of this season, unlike CSK which had a void left by Mathesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman who are not featured, RCB have improved their performances whereas Simranjeet Singh has come out as an example.
The bowling coach of CSK named Dwayne Bravo when asked about their thoughts said he does not want to let any cat out his bag but at the same time he thinks last season through to this one have been pretty good with a reasonably youngish bowling group.
Like many others even Bravo acknowledged that it might all come down to how you bowl in the last four overs on Saturday evening.
“Death bowling in T20 cricket is very important and most times it defines the result and outcome of the game. We prepare the same way we prepare for every team. We prepare well as a bowling group, we have very good plans. RCB will have to really try to beat us off our plans,” reckoned Bravo.
