The highly anticipated second season of the anthology series “Beef” is in talks to feature Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan. The show’s first season, which was critically acclaimed and won several Emmy Awards, including Best Picture, was described by this.
Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are reportedly in talks for a role in Beef’s second season according to insiders close to production who spoke with Deadline.
Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny have also been cast joining the series as well adding depth to the anthology.
Netflix sources familiar with the project told Deadline that the second season would delve into two feuding couples, packed with conflict and intrigue but no confirmation on the negotiations regarding Isaac and Mulligan.
According to an initial report published by Deadline, speculation was rife that Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway were supposed to take up these positions before Isaac and Mulligan came on board although those plans never materialized.
While there has been no official word yet about Season 2 of Beef getting a green light, fans can’t help but imagine what it would be like if Isaac teamed up with Mulligan on this award-winning hit TV show.
Specifically, Oscar Isaac recently earned critical acclaim for his work on HBO’s “Scenes from a Marriage” for which he received an Emmy Award nomination.
Also worth noting is Julian Schnabel’s The Hand of Dante where he appeared alongside Jason Momoa having already filmed Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of Frankenstein ” as Dr. Frankenstein”.
In addition, three-time Oscar-nominated actress Carey Mulligan earned rave reviews for her performance opposite Bradley Cooper in The Master being called one of them It received critical acclaim and received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
