The intent of the mission was to take Hague and Gorbunov to the International Space Station for five months and bring back Williams and Wilmore safely. Hague and Gorbunov will be at the International Space Station until February, which is when the crew changes over. Shockingly, two of the crew members Zena Cardman and Stephanie Wilson, who were initially part of the crew-9 mission would not be on the flight, as the returning astronauts were displaced.
Williams and Wilmore went to the International Space Station in June on Boeing Co.’s Starliner capsule carrying out the mission for eight days. But their stay was lengthened because of defects in the starliner’s actuators. Later on, NASA put the pseudocapsule back into the air on September 7 for departure and further study.
