Kolkata Knight Riders pacer Mitchell Starc produced an absolute ripper to send opener Travis Head packing for a two-ball duck in the IPL Qualifier 1 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
Starc destroyed Head’s sticks as his off and middle stumps laid flat on the ground producing a scorcher of a delivery in the very first over of the game.
It was an exquisite delivery from Mitchell Starc which was around off, full, and moved away late. Rather than hanging around, Head went ahead with all his might at the ball, leaving enough bat-pad gap. The ball sneaked through and smashed onto middle and off stump.
This was Head’s second nought after being dismissed by left-arm-pacer Arshdeep Singh for a golden duck in SRH’s previous league match against Punjab Kings.
Starc has been up and down this season since joining KKR for Rs 24.75 crore during December auction last year.
Before that crucial match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders played yesterday, Starc had picked twelve wickets at an economy rate above eleven in twelve innings.
With nine victories out of fourteen matches, KKR topped the points table before playoffs began.
