this Film Festival Start with screening Sunflower is the first to knowscreenwriter and director FTII students Chidananda S. This short film won the La Cinef Award at the Cannes Film Festival. Chidananda’s film, which is based on the folklore of Karnataka, is part of the year-end coordination exercise of FTII’s television department.The short film tells the story of an old woman who steals the village’s prized rooster, causing riots in the community and leading to the exile of the old woman and her family. The director of this film is Chidananda S. “Naik” has been shot by Suraj Thakur, edited by Manoj V. and sound designed by Abhishek Kadam.
In his inaugural address, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan said that considering the growing potential of the AVG industry in creating employment and promoting growth, the government will soon establish an AVGC Industry Center of Excellence in Mumbai. Amendments were made to control piracy in the country.
