Lana Del Rey reveals plans for her next album, The right people will staywill be released on May 21, 2025 via Interscope/Polydor Records. This will be her tenth studio album following the critically acclaimed Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.
The Grammy-nominated artist took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the album’s creative process in a heartfelt post. She thanked producers Jack Antonoff, Zachary Dawes, Luke Laird and Drew Erickson, among others, for their collaboration. Del Rey also teased that fans won’t have to wait too long to hear some new music, mentioning that a song called “Henry” was the first song she released ahead of her performance at the Stagecoach Music Festival in April .
“Henry” may be a nod to the song “Henry, Come On” she previewed earlier this year. The new album may take a country-influenced direction, in line with Del Rey’s earlier hints at a project called Lasso, which she originally planned to release in 2024 but later postponed.
If “The Right One Will Stay” contained country themes, it would reflect a growing trend of pop artists exploring the genre. Recent chart successes such as Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Morgan Wallen’s “Love Somebody” illustrate the popularity of country music on mainstream charts. Del Rey’s connection to the genre was highlighted last year when she released a cover of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” which received rave reviews from fans.
Along with announcing the album, Del Rey also shared her 2025 tour plans. Tour. The tour will include Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin and London, ending at Wembley Stadium on 3 July.
Lana Del Rey fans can look forward to her new album and upcoming live performances as she continues to develop her artistry.
