in a court session On September 5, a businessman in his 40s had previously delivered an astonishing 350 million won by cash blackmailer Representative actor Lee Sun Kyunconsider the booth as witness. The businessman, a third-grade student at Lee Sun-kyun Elementary School, provided important testimony about Lee Sun-kyun’s suffering. Korean media reported that he said that “Lee Sun Kyun was in pain” due to the strong threats from blackmailers B (30 years old, female) and C (29 years old, female).
At the sixth hearing at the Incheon District Court, witnesses explained that the threats suffered by Lee Sun-kyun were so serious that he felt the need to help deliver the money. Pinkvilla quoted the businessman as saying, “My brother (Li) felt so distressed by the threats that he eventually wanted to hand over the money.” He described Lee Sun-kyun as “a big brother that I like very much” and emphasized his personal commitment to helping him through the crisis. The businessman further shared, “The fear and stress (due to intimidation) is huge and I am still in the hospital taking medication”.
According to his testimony, “Representatives of Lee’s agency brought 300 million won in cash and 50 million won in a vehicle and delivered them to the defendant at the restaurant (on different dates). B received a memo saying that he would He is responsible for everything that happens in the future, because he said he is very sure that he will pay for it “.
In response to lawyer B’s claim that the defendant did not know that the funds were related to Li Shanjun, “the defendant believed that the funds belonged to Mr. A.” Mr. A retorted, “I didn’t talk about Lee Sun-kyun’s money accurately because it might become a problem later.” The lawyer argued that B believed the money belonged to Mr. A, and claimed that there was no crime of blackmail or intimidation against Lee Sun Kyun because B was unaware of the actor’s connection to the funds. This witness, who is close to Lee Sun Kyun, only appeared in court after a compulsory arrest warrant was issued. The next trial is scheduled for October 7 at the Incheon District Court.
In September last year, B told Li Shanjun that he was blackmailed by mobile phone hackers. B was subsequently accused of demanding 300 million won to remain silent about the threats. Hacker C, who lived in the same apartment building as B and was familiar with him, also discovered that B had a close relationship with Lee Sun Kyun and was related to methamphetamine. C uses this information to pretend to be a hacker using an illegal USIM chip. From October 13th to 17th last year, after C failed to receive payment from Company B, he demanded 100 million won from Lee Sunkyun, and finally extorted 50 million won from Lee Sunkyun.
B was also charged with unlawful possession of ketamine and methamphetamine on three occasions between December 10, 2022, and August 19 last year, having six previous drug convictions. Prosecutors asked for a two-year prison sentence at his final hearing in July. Unfortunately, on December 27 last year, Lee Sun-kyun was found dead near Wolong Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
