External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that he is “keeping an eye on it” as the situation in Bishkek Violence Targeting foreign countries student coming in from Kyrgyzstan unfolds, a reported by New Delhi.
Following word that Pakistani students were injured during mob attacks on their dormitories, The Indian embassy in Kyrgyzstan issued a cautionary notice.The consulate stated that “we have been in touch with students. Currently things seem quiet but we would advise the students to stay home whenever possible If you have any further queries at this point do consult the embassy…”
There was also the direction of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar telling students to maintain regular contact with the embassy. He said “We are keeping an eye on Indian students’ welfare in Bishkek and so far everything seems fine. Students should therefore keep up communication with the embassy as much as they can.”
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif has also expressed worry about the attack and directed his country’s ambassador to assist all affected students.
X quoted him saying “My office is also in touch with our embassy and keeps monitoring what is happening.” So,” I have asked he Ambassador of Pakistan to assist them fully”.
