New Delhi: Yash Dayal, a left arm fast bowler, remained composed despite the Chennai Super Kings’ powerful attack, enabling Royal Challengers Bangalore to recover from defeat and clinch a place in the play-offs.

On Saturday, RCB beat CSK by 27 runs at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru which was jam-packed with supporters.

Chennai super kings wanted 17 points on the last game.

Jadeja’s and Dhoni’s spectacular nines boundaries took CSK above 200; however RCB got back into the match when Dhoni was beaten by Dayal in its last over.

Virat Kohli is furious after being smacked for sixes off Dhoni’s long leg Run up to Dayal and tell him to bowl slowly to Dhoni.

A leaked viral video of Virat coaching Dayal has emerged online, where he says “yorker nahi, slow down dar”.

After Dhoni was dismissed, CSK needed 10 runs from the last two balls to advance, but Dayal bowled brilliantly and did not concede a single run, sparking wild celebrations in the stadium.

2 wickets for 42 including a crucial MS Dhoni (final score) ball; Dayal shone with the ball.

With RCB’s victory IPL five-time champions CSK were out of IPL 2024.

RCB will face Rajasthan Royals at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday during playoff clash.
