He batted only once throughout scoring an average of 61.75 per match and had a strike rate of 154.69 batting alongside Faf du Plessis, his captain.
“I am really humbled to have received the orange cap for this season.It was a roller-coaster ride. I was really happy with my performance in all games that I played for my team but most importantly through our last few matches where we needed to win every game just to make it,” Virat noted in a post-match interview that was given out on tape.
