Cameron and Vanessa Mason Separating ways.
The ex-spouses announced their divorce on Wednesday, July 31st, four days before they celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary. They gave a joint explanation on Instagram.
General Hospital star said, “Marriagewe have been through 22 years of it was not easy but we have decided to go our separate ways.” They are beginning this new chapter with great love, care and mutual respect. We are grateful for the years we had together.
“Our children They have always been and remain as our main concern and will still stay devoted to them and love them.”

Cameron and Vanessa got married on the twenty seventh day of July in 2002 while their son Lucas was born in April 2003.
The veteran All My Children actor admitted he is about to become an empty nester soon after his daughter leaves for college in the fall during an interview recently.
Yesterday he posted a picture of him, his children’s mother along with two children who were almost leaving home on Instagram. “Summer photo dump,” said Cameron in the caption. “Last few weeks before I officially become an empty nester.”
She did not appear in any of ten pictures showing the trio hiking and being outdoors during their Arizona trip but Vanessa wrote a sweet message under the post.
In June while appearing on Cheryl Burke’s Sex, Lies And Spray Tan podcast Cameron discussed some trouble they went through in his marriage with Vanessa. When asked about being a participant at Dancing With The Stars, the actor disclosed how uncomfortable he felt working alongside professional dancer Edyta Śliwińska
“And I called (the casting director) up saying ‘Hey listen I am really glad you offered me this show I can’t wait I’m in tell you what though do me one favor please. Not with Edita,” he said. “Because I know my wife and I, we were going through some challenges at the time.”
The two did end up dancing together and Sliwenska was shown to have little clothes on by Cameron in a jesting manner. “It was really sad for me because she is just an amazing person, she is a great dancer and we became very close friends. She’s such a soldier,” he said. “We’ve been through so much lately and the timing wasn’t great because I’m over here with this beautiful woman in Los Angeles, all dressed up, rehearsing five hours a day with her, sweating it out as well as doing all the press together. Covering and touring, it’s really hard.”
“I tried everything in my power to make it better for her but what can you do? You can obviously get married and do a show – that’s fine depending on the circumstances of course. The point is – it’s really hard,” he continued.
In May this year, Cameron spoke about raising his kids in an interview with People. He explained how difficult it was sending off his daughter and noted his son was already enrolled in college.
“It’s the best thing in the world,” he said to me before adding: “But at the same time I don’t think I’m ready though. Like you think you are ready like ‘Oh this is gonna be great’ but I’m gonna miss them.”
