Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 ran into trouble after a huge stampede broke out during its premiere, leading to the death of a 39-year-old woman. Her 8-year-old son was injured and hospitalized. Victim’s husband filed FIR, due to which police arrested Allu Arjun Friday night. He was released on interim bail on Saturday morning. According to the latest reports, the hospital confirmed that the injured 8-year-old boy was using a respirator.
The Hindu quoted a statement from the hospital, which read: “The boy continues to receive ventilator support in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) with minimal needs. He is hemodynamically stable and tolerating Tube feeding. However, he had intermittent fevers, his sensorium remained altered, and he exhibited dystonic movements.
The boy, named Sri Teja, is seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at KIMS Cuddles Hospital in Hyderabad. The stampede resulted in the death of his mother and Sri Teja was taken to hospital due to suffocation.
Allu Arjun and “Pushpa 2” director Sukumar both apologized to the victim’s family. Arjun donated Rs 25 lakh to the victim’s family. The investigation into the matter will continue after Arjun was granted interim bail. Meanwhile, the husband of the deceased victim told the media that he planned to drop the case.
