Bombay High Court Death questions were raised Wednesday about several aspects of the death. Bhadrapur accused who was shot dead He reportedly attempted to flee police custody and in doing so, fell down somehow.
Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Prithviraj Chavan bench commented that in case there are no statements that this investigation into the attempt to shoot the defender does not require any more investigation, then appropriate orders would have to be issued where there was no mistreatment.

- The Bombay High Court has observed that there was no necessity for the shootout, if the police had first attempted to bring down Akshay Shinde.
- The court observed that it is hard to imagine that he seized the gun from one of the police constables and was able to discharge it.
- The court observed that it is not an easy task to open up and shoot the bare pistol.
- Why was the defendant’s head targeted for strikes while his hands and legs could have been struck first, the court enquired.
- “Why the delay in handing over these documents to the criminal investigation department? Evidence must be maintained as all care is taken. If there are any lapses from you, suspicions and speculations will arise,” said the bench.
- Furthermore, the High court asked as to why the accused was shot on the head when he could have been shot on his hands and leg first.
- “It is possible to carry out an investigation in a reasonable way. If we establish that this has not been the case, then we will have no choice but to issue appropriate directions, ”said the bench.
The bench has listed the matter for further hearing on 3rd October, within this time the police have to take a decision on the complaint filed by Shinde’s father seeking the registration of the FIR against the police officials concerned.
The high court also ordering for transfer all case files instantaneously to the CID Maharashtra which organ of state will launch investigations to Shinde’s demise with expedience.
