Dr. Anthony Fauci, who advised Donald Trump on COVID-19 and Joe Biden during the pandemic, seems to have undermined the seriousness of his former boss’ injuries; this was reported by CNN on Wednesday. He said Trump had a minor ear injury from the recent incident that “was just skin deep.”

He also explained that it was an assassination attempt saying Former President Donald Trump made a statement which read as follows, “It looked like we heard gunfire and saw him bleeding from his right ear; but when we consulted with a doctor that examined him there wasn’t anything more than that.”

Anthony Fauci said he believed Trump “was not affected” based on doctors’ reports and Trump’s actions after the incident, including his arrival at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee two days later. Fauci added: “In other words, this is nothing more than simple woundedness of the ear.”

However, earlier today CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta disagreed with this perspective suggesting that Trump might have suffered “emotional scars” leading to one rallygoer dying and two others sustaining severe wounds as result of gunshots being fired close to his head. Gupta urged for full public assessment of President Donald J.Trump’s injuries so voters could know whether he was medically fit for presidency or not arguing that campaign has not divulged any details about medical treatment given to Mr.Trump or plans regarding monitoring of his health in weeks ahead.

“Such trauma from gunshots near the head may cause insidious injuries such as intracranial or extracranial bleeds, inner ear damage or even emotional scars,” noted Gupta.

Accordingly neurosurgeons who spoke to CNN stressed upon “proper examination” after bullet damages can aid in better discernment between physical and mental harm thus promoting faster recuperation.

Gupta ended saying: “The good news is that most physical symptoms of an injury will likely show up within the past few days.” “However, at this time, the Trump campaign has not disclosed whether a comprehensive inspection was conducted at that time, or whether any follow-up actions have been taken since.”

A bullet fired by would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks grazed trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. In the midst of this, he jumped down to the ground and gunfire broke out. This occurred with blood coming from his right ear which later had a piece of bandage around it.
