The recently released Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, 2024 were a testament to the positive effect that universities have on the world. The present rankings put great emphasis on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with respect to climate action, ending poverty and quality education.
Australia’s Western Sydney University has topped the list for three years running.The second position being shared by University of Manchester, UK and University of Tasmania from Australia. Noteworthy enough is that India has the highest number of institutions in the list at 96.

The ranking emphasizes the university’s dedication to a more sustainable and fair world. A new participant from France, Institut Agro, debuted in 21st position side by side another institution; this showed it was committed to achieving sustainable development goals. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for this year give us an idea of how universities can bring positive changes globally with some extra efforts aimed at making the world a better place.
