Calcutta: Governor of Bengal CV Ananda Bose Returned to Kolkata on Monday, triggering fresh confrontation with state government and said he would not tolerate CM Mamata Banerjee“Didijiri”.His remarks drew swift reactions from all parties tenamoremeaning “the consequences will not be good”.

Bose has issued a gag order to the Raj Bhavan staff, directing them not to talk to the police and “banned” police and state finance minister Chandrima Bhattacharya from participating in the Raj Bhavan.
Condemning his remarks, Chanderima said: “His disrespectful remarks against the chief minister reflect his attitude towards women. So he wants to do Dadagiri? The people of Bengal will tell him…”
The Bengal BJP, led by Sukanta Majumdar, has chosen to stay away from the controversy. Majumdar did not comment and stressed the need to respect the governor’s position.
