The fatal landslide that happened in Wayanad on Tuesday caused five lives to be lost including a 19-year-old girl, in the Karnataka state. Injuries sustained during the mentioned event have left three people from KR pet taluk fighting for their lives, and there are many more victims whose number is expected to rise.
This was stated by the authorities who also said that Shreya Ukkalagere from T Narsipur taluk mysore district had been found dead in the ruins of Wayanad and her last rites were performed at the Maipardi Cemetery.
Rajendra, 50, Rathnamma, 45 (both from Irasavadi village) Chamaraja Nagar Taluk), Puttasiddashetty, 62 Rani, 50 Chamarajangar district were identified as other four casualties.
Through victims identification it was discovered that Jhansi had been seriously wounded together with her husband Anil and father Devaraju. The trio is currently receiving treatment within Wayanad Hospital. Jhansis two-year old son Nihal along with Lilavati his mother-in-law were reported missing.
