Ahead of the impending ICC T20 World Cup that starts on June 2, Virat Kohli & Anushka found a rare moment of relaxation in Mumbai. Currently, the Indian cricket team is in New York for the same occasion.
In the meantime, Kohli was spotted having supper with his actress wife Anushka Sharma, cricketer Zaheer Khan and his actress wife Sagarika Ghatge as well as Gaurav Kapur; a cricket presenter.
A video shared by one of the paparazzo’s on Instagram showed Anushka and her friends exiting Veronica’s which is an upmarket restaurant in Mumbai’s Bandra.
While waiting to get into their car outside that hotel, this couple hugged and bid farewell to their friends warmly. This excursion was a rarity for them since they had their second child earlier this year. In London, Anushka delivered Akaay while they have another daughter Vamika who turns three years old now.
During IPL season, Anushka remained constant support system to her husband Virat where RCB made it into playoffs before bowing out. In Chennai, Kolkata Knight Riders owned by Shah Rukh Khan eventually won IPL title against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Kohli is hinting at some breather time from stress by returning back home to India ahead of the T20 World Cup with his teammates already practicing in New York.
The little break he took in Mumbai will be useful for him ahead of joining team India as he gears up for T20 World Cup. The Indian side aims to win the tournament once again under MS Dhoni just like they did in 2007 after a very long wait.
