After his teammate lost concentration during his run-up twice, the captain of India, Rohit Sharma was seen moving rapidly towards Washington Sundar with a clenched fist in a hilarious turn of events on Sunday at the second One Day International against Sri Lanka.
This happened in the 33rd over as Sundar bowled to Janith Liyanage while Rohit Sharma stood at first slip.
Firstly, he did not properly complete his run-up and then for the next ball he also released the ball while starting to move forward which made him even more mad.
It was quite hilarious seeing how from first slip, the skipper charged towards Sundar with a clenched fist making everyone burst into laughter.
Towards the end of this game shreyas Iyer produced an excellent direct hit from deep.
And it came on penultimate over fifth ball as Iyer charged in from deep cover fence to hit bulls eye some 45 yards away that saw Kamindu Mendis being dismissed.
Late flurry by Dunith Wellalage (39) and Kamindu Mendis (40) enabled Sri Lanka post 240 for nine after their spinners had struck timely blows against India.
Wellalage made 39 off only 56 balls while Kamindu chipped in with a classy knock of 40 runs and they added another important partnership worth 72 runs after SL were reduced to 136-6.
Washington Sundar picked up three wickets for just thirty runs, well supported by fellow spinner Kuldeep Yadav who claimed two scalps through his left-arm wrist spin.
Two countries tied in series opener.
