Sandeep Raghuvanshi, a farmer who has been on hunger strike since Thursday, vowed to continue the strike until toxic waste is cleared from the area.
Members of the Pithampur Bachao Samiti, who recently returned from Delhi, joined the protests to strengthen the movement. Their presence has reignited local resistance to the disposal plan.
