New Delhi: In a fresh political attack ahead of Delhi Assembly elections, BJP leader RP Singh on Tuesday lashed out at AAP convener and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal He allegedly installed gold-plated toilets in his official residence, while the city’s infrastructure remains inadequate.
Singh claimed that the former prime minister installed 12 such luxury toilets worth Rs 144 crore at his official residence ‘Sheeshmahal’, which was reportedly worth Rs 56 crore.
Addressing a press conference, Singh accused the AAP government of misleading the people of Delhi with promises of free benefits or “revdis” while lavishing money on itself.
“This is a gold plated toilet. The chief minister installed 12 such toilets in his house. These toilets, worth Rs 144 crore, are installed in the ‘Sheeshmahal’. This is what is happening in Delhi, the people in power are wasting public funds on luxuries while the people are suffering.
“When our government comes to power, we will build good quality toilets and bathrooms for the people of Delhi,” Singh vowed.
