Vikrant Massey Praised for starring in a much-anticipated comedy-thriller, “Power Failure” that highlights the difficulties of driving at night on set.
“Blackout” is directed by Devang Bhavsar and stars Mouni Roy and Sunil Grover.
A comedy thriller which explores human nature and the consequences of one’s actions during tough times; Blackout takes us on a thrilling ride through the streets of Pune where darkness covers the city with mysteries. In this, crime journalist Lenny, played by Vikrant Massey, gets caught up in situations involving greed and misfortune.
According to him, “It was fun shooting but it was difficult because we had to shoot throughout the night. This was very hard. This made it tough as there was excessive rain and entire car loaded because sometimes it rained heavily at night when shooting and then at times wipers were not working which didn’t allow focus much on equipment safety.”
Also, he added: “As far as shooting all through the night is concerned it gives you many challenges including physical exhaustion because your body clock changes when you suddenly start sleeping during day time when others are awake. This is tough even though we got stuck in traffic jam while filming action scenes and drove into another car.”
He went further, saying “When I heard about the movie and about who made it behind them I got curious.” I would listen to such stories but never had an opportunity to work on such projects before. We did not know what we wanted until our paths crossed at last and worked out direction together –it was great encounter.
You can stream Blackout now on Jio Cinema.
