During the past year, Vijay Sethupathi, who is a Tamil actor and comedian, made his Bollywood debut in the web series “Farzi” and in Shah Rukh Khan’s “Farzi”. However, his most recent release is called “Merry Christmas” where he features with Katrina Kaif. Vijay opened up on their relationship which began as a result of SRK’s praises for him in Jawan. Interestingly enough though, he stated that he no longer wishes to play negative roles; this implies a shift in focus towards different aspects of his career.
Talking about his relationship with Shah Rukh Khan after the shooting of “Jawan”, Vijay Sethupathi said he learned something from everyone. Shah Rukh Khan showed him how to keep one’s energy levels high at all times. While they were filming one day Khan felt bad but nobody could tell unless he revealed it. A lot of things did SRK share about Vijay and this made him very happy. Even what Rajinikanth and Vijay said about him made him happy. Sethupathi is happy that they noticed many aspects of him and his performance.
But later on, when he played the villain role in “Jawan”, Sethupathi realized that playing villains would mean competing against the lead actors himself. The present thing has bee turned into romantic movies; now he wants to focus on those.
Vijay’s next film Maharaja releasing on June 14th will be special for another reason; Jayam Ravi’s forthcoming feature will be his fiftieth movie down South. He has had an extraordinary journey to reach these heights over time which reflects a successful acting career coupled by loyal audience following. Vijay has grown into one of the industry’s most versatile actors performing memorable roles across various genres among others.
