Vietnam Airlines Vietjet Air Another one just announced route on Wednesday between Nha Trang and Daegu, South Korea. The airline also celebrated the launch of a new route from Ho Chi Minh City to Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi province in China on July 1.
“To mark the introduction of this new route, Vietjet will kick off a special promotion week from July 1st to July 7th, 2024 with starting fares for a single way being as low as INR 5,555 (terms and conditions apply) across the entire Indian network. “These tickets are available for travel between August 22, 2024 and May 25, 2025”. The airline said in its press statement: ”Passengers can buy these fares at www.vietjetair.com or via Vietjet mobile app”.
This follows four round-trip flights were added that were launched following successful introductions to Shanghai and Chengdu which will strengthen connections amongst Vietjet’s expanding flight networks throughout the world.
The airline operates a total of 29 weekly round-trip flights between Vietnam and India with four major Indian cities – New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Cochin.
Since its first flight in July 2014 until now VietJet Air has expanded extensively its network flying over more than thirty-seven scheduled and charter flights with twenty-three million passengers traveling between South Korea and Vietnam.
“This continued growth highlights Vietjets’ significant contribution towards facilitating travel convenience hence promoting economic investment tourism as well as cultural exchanges among two countries,” it concluded. “It is A full member of International Air Transport Association (IATA) and holds IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).”
Accordingly, according to VietJet there are now more direct routes offer between Vietnamese destinations such as Hanoi, HCMC or Danang connecting with New Delhi along with Mumbai or Ahmedabad than any other carriers. “Vietjet is proud to offer the most extensive network of direct flights in India and Vietnam,” it further elaborated.
Vietnam’s budget airline VNPost-Covid Vietnam has become a favorite tourist destination for those travelers who are looking for cheap deals. In line with this, according to VietJetAir, the total number of Indian tourists visiting Vietnam was 82,066 by the end of October 2022. Among Indians are Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc Island, Quy Nhon, Da Nang, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet and Dalat; Halong Bay served as the most popular destinations in the country. In early January 2023, Vietnamese national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with European multinational aerospace corporation Airbus to acquire twenty A330neo (A330-900) wide-body passenger aircrafts.
