John Abraham is back into his action avatar, this time instead of being villain he helps the lead character play Sharvari Justice is served. Vedaa follows the journey of a young girl as she confronts and resists a system of oppression, where John plays a military court officer who trains her to fight against those oppressing her. Nikhil Advanithe film will be released on August 15, with Shraddha Kapoor lead 2nd Street and Akshay Kumar, This is my game.
In recent weeks, “Vedaa” has been making headlines regarding censorship disputes. In fact, producers of the movie were taken by surprise when it was submitted before the reviewing board without their knowledge and later more than 9 minutes had to be cut.
So far over 11 thousand tickets have been sold while more than 3 million INR has been reported as gross revenue for Vedaa while Khel Khel Mein slightly edges out having sold pre-sale revenues of approximately Rs 22 lakh with Stree 2 whose pre-sale collections stand at about 7 million rupees coming last.
Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh will be seen alongside Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in Vedasalpha. The spy thriller film marks another addition to Aditya Chopra’s expanding spy universe. On the other hand, Manushi Chhillar will co-star with John Abraham in Tehran.
