
Actor Varun Dhawan has been basking in the joy of parenthood ever since he welcomed his adorable daughter Lara with his wife Natasha Dalal June 3, 2024.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Varun opened up about his experience as a new parent. The ‘Badrapur’ actor expressed his strong protective instincts as a new father. He shared that while motherhood brings a unique transformation, often likened to the protective nature of a tigress, fatherhood also inspires a powerful drive to protect one’s daughters. Varun admitted that if anyone harmed his daughter, he would kill them.
The actor said his newfound responsibility as a parent has given him a deeper understanding of his father. Looking back on his childhood, he recalled that his father often worried about his safety and well-being, displaying behaviors that included anxiety and a need for everyone to be together.
Varun admitted that he never understood this at the time, often questioning why his father was so concerned about him getting home on time and always wanted to keep him close. However, he now sees things from a different perspective.
The actor added that now that he’s become a father himself, he has a new perspective on his father’s concerns. He said that he now fully understands this, which he could not understand before.
