The Uttarakhand government had previously issued safety advisories for Chardham pilgrims as the state anticipates heavy rainfall. As such, authorities requested devotees to delay their trip until weather conditions improve and stay in secure locations.
Lieutenant Governor Abhinav Kumar also advised pilgrims and devotees to be cautious and begin their journey only after a good rest.
