Agartala: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath with his Tripura counterparts. Manik Saha will open a siddeshwari temple On September 16, in West Tripura, an official Shanti Kali Ashram said Saturday. The newly built temple in Barkathal is one of the 24 temples managed by Shanti Kali Ashram in the northeastern state.
Temple officials said Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, the supreme ruler of Tipra Motha from the royal family, will be the chief guest.
“Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha will inaugurate the Siddheswari temple in the presence of Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma.
Maharaj Chittaranjan Debbarma, director of Shanti Kali Ashram, will also be present at the event,” Sudip Debbarma, partner of Shanti Kali Ashram, told PTI on Saturday.
Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury held a meeting with West Tripura district magistrate Vishal Kumar on Friday to review preparations related to the inauguration of the temple.
Sudeep Debbarma said Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was scheduled to participate in the program, canceled the visit due to his busy schedule.
Maharaja Chitta Ranjan Debbarma, the director of Shanti Kali Ashram, has been dedicated to preserving Hindu culture, tradition and religion and was awarded the Padma Shri last year.
