Two unknown cyclists ambushed a Rakesh Baghel, a 45-year-old man who was on his way to hear a scheduled case of land disputes at the local court at Agra near Digrauta sub-canal under Kagaraul police station. He lives in Nagra Bridge village.
The attack happened around 7.40 am when two motorcycle riding men suddenly shot at them; the brothers were walking together. Mr. Rakesh was hit by a bullet in his back and fell down bleeding profusely. The attacker then left there according to officials.
Mahendra reported, “On our way to court, my brother Rakesh was shot dead.I informed the police about it. They came to our location almost two hours later after being called. We took Rakesh immediately to the nearby private hospital where he was severely injured undergoing treatment which I couldn’t see him.
Speaking about this incident, Rajiv Kumar SHO Kagaraul police station said “CCTV cameras are being examined. And we have asked for the victim’s family to lodge an official complaint on this matter and register an FIR. The whole incident is being looked into meticulously.
