TS LAWCET 2024 Important Topics: The Osmania University, Hyderabad released the hall tickets for the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) 2024 today on May 29, 2024.
The TS LAWCET 2024 admit card is now available for download for all candidates who have registered and are preparing to sit for this law entrance test that allows them to be admitted into various law courses in Telangana state through the official website lawcet.tsche.ac.in.
Additionally, the university has also provided TS PGLCET 2024 admit card for postgraduate law courses.
TS LAWCET Exam Pattern
The exam of TS LAWCET occurs online on computer. Candidates must appear at a particular examination centre designated in Andhra Pradesh. The entire duration of the exam is one hour and thirty minutes which is equal to ninety minutes.
The question paper is divided into three categories, each designed with a purpose of evaluating different sets of skills; general knowledge and mental abilities; current affairs and legal research aptitude. To accommodate individual language preference therefore, the papers are written in both English and Telugu languages.
Multiple choice or objective type questions should be answered within given options by choosing the correct option as per TS LAWCET. The examination consists of 120 questions carrying one mark each. As such, out of total points 120 scores can be obtained from this examination only.
As far as marking scheme is concerned, every correct response will fetch candidates one point. It is worth noting that there are no negative marks in TS LAWCET; hence wrong answers do not attract penalties against students writing it. This allows students to attempt all questions without any fear of losing points due to those wrongly responded ones.
Important chapters that must be reviewed for TS LAWCET 2024
The main sections present in TS LAWCET 2024 exam comprise of General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs and Legal Research Ability. Each section has a specific theme or topic that it is designed to test candidates’ knowledge on. Below are important topics that you need to study for each section in order to score good marks –
General knowledge and mental abilities
These sections aim at determining student’s level of awareness in general with regards to their thinking capacity. For example, there are general awareness topics like history, geography, economics, logical reasoning and environmental science. Also the section on mental aptitude includes questions on syllogisms, numbers and series puzzles, algebra kinship and direction based questions too. This helps us understand about the students’ wide knowledge about different subjects as well as their ability to think problematically.
Current events
This part deals with current news items from both within the country and abroad for the past one year. In addition candidates should be updated with new happenings which are significant. The main aspects covered here comprise appointments sports awards among others. It reflects upon how much importance does a candidate attach to recent occurrences in relation to the legal profession.
Legal research skills
The legal learning ability section assesses candidates’ basic understanding of law-related subjects and their ability to understand legal principles. It deals with knowledge concerning various elements of law as well as Indian constitution related questions including constitutional rights inquiries into basic understanding of various branches like civil rights etc., this portion is very crucial for judging whether an applicant can pursue a course in law or get involved in any legal occupation.
