Babi’s success sparked celebrations among Umakanta College alumni, local clubs and different cycling groups in Tripura.
In a video message from Everest Base Camp, Babi revealed that he set out from Kolkata on May 21 this year, using a single-speed bicycle.
On this arduous road, he experienced numerous challenges and near-death experiences, but ultimately succeeded.
Babi’s journey included stops at Banaras, Achodia, Sanoli, Punjab, Kathmandu and finally at Namqi Chowk before reaching the Everest Base Camp on Sunday.
