BHOPAL: A group of youths driving an SUV allegedly ambushed and attacked three men in a car and vandalized the vehicle in full view of people nearby. Haralpura bus station in the Koh-e-Fiza area late Wednesday night.
Witnesses said the rioters arrived in a sport utility vehicle with party flags and blowing horns. The incident was captured on video, which later went viral on social media.

Koh-e-Fiza Police It said that a case has been registered against the unknown criminals and they are looking for them based on the license plate number of the SUV.
Koh-e-Fiza SHO Vijendra Marskole said the complainant, Gaurav Raikwar, 26, a resident of Baghsevania, was a driver by profession. He said he was returning home with his friends Deepak and Sameer after dining at a roadside restaurant in Khajuri area. When they reached Haralpura bus stand around 11:30 pm, a black SUV intercepted their car.
SHO Marskole said the occupants of the SUV forcefully pulled the three men out of the vehicle, beat them up and smashed the windshield and windows of the car with a stick taken from the vehicle. Passing witnesses recorded the incident on their smartphones, and the video went viral on Thursday.
SHO Marskole said the Koh-e-Fiza police registered a case against unidentified persons under various sections including obstruction, assault and vandalism. The dispute is believed to have originated from an earlier overtaking incident between two vehicles in Khajuri area. After the altercation, the goons in the SUV chased the vehicle and parked it at the Haralpura bus stop where the attack took place. They also lodged a complaint against the driver of the car with the Khajuri police station.
