The Indian Premier Mr. Narendra Modi spoke at the Rajya Sabha, today is Wednesday, which follows a bitter exchange in Lok Sabha yesterday. While the Lok Sabha ended its session on Tuesday without fixing any date for resuming for business after NDA and INDIA bloc members clashed over PM Modi’s speech, Rajya Sabha began its operations on 3rd July at 11:00 am.
“Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi will speak in the Rajya Sabha at around 12 noon. He will take part in the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address,” said PMO in a post on X.
As we began our proceedings this morning, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhhar also expressed condolence over Hathras’ stampede accident in Uttar Pradesh where several lives were lost. The Opposition Leader called upon government to come up with laws that will stop such cases from happening again.
Yesterday, Prime Minister addressed the Lok Sabha and after his address; the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die. Speaker Om Birla has said it recorded productivity of 103%. In his address, PM Modi attacked Rahul Gandhi and INDIA bloc over their comments about ‘Hinduism’, among others.
Rajya sabha debate is expected to include NEET paper leak issue and Manipur violence. Yesterday, opposition leaders grilled government through supplementary questions over leakage of recent examination papers alleging it undermines future of youth and demoralizes hardworking students.
