Sumona Chakravarti avoided many such digressions to construct a good life for herself and fulfill her long-standing ambition of having her own house. In an interview with The Indian Express, Sumona told the truth about who she was beyond the successful image people have of her. She takes us back in time and talks about how hard it was for her to buy the first house. Sumona said that as a result of lack of a proper payslip from my work place, the bank refused me credit.
She says, “I bought my first house when I turned twenty-six. It was a simply little apartment in Mumbai. If you think real estate is expensive here… Crazy! Actors do not have an office based pay scheme or constant monthly salaries. I remember this incident clearly because even bank staff were reluctant to give me loan as I had no fixed monthly income. One person receives rs 20,000 per month in salary must be more secure than one actor because the risk is too high.

Life sometimes pulls you back by giving you financial setbackhuge curveballsbut most times I’ve managed to skip them”
