The Witcher
The Witcher is a Netflix original series based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series which stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, also known as witcher; he hunts monsters while trying to save Princess Ciri from those who would use her for evil through her Elder Blood and powerful magic.
Nevertheless The Witcher seems more into High Fantasy than Game Of Thrones with all kinds of creatures and beings but it yet does have the same political drama and stakes that people love in the Game Of Thrones.
The Wheel of Time
In contrast to how men were driven insane by its touch, women are allowed to use magic in some worlds. Some teenagers set off on a trip around the world where one traveler among them named Moraine believes that one of them is reborn Dragon – a powerful sorcerer who died long ago and was destined by prophecies either to save it or destroy it. This show is adapted from Robert Jordan’s book series under the same name who also influenced George R.R. Martin when writing books later turned into Game Of Thrones we know today.
Outlander
Based on a series of books by Diana Gabaldon Outlander is historical drama with sci-fi elements. It tells the story about Claire Beauchamp Randall-Fraser, World War 2 nurse who gets transported back in time to 1743 where she falls for young Scottish warrior James Fraser. While not featuring much similar thrilling fights and battles like Game Of Thrones does, storyline will definitely catch interest after Game Of Thrones people who enjoyed the interpersonal drama and romance.
My Lady Jane
Finally, there is My Lady Jane, a new perspective on Jane Grey’s story; she was an aristocrat from the Tudor age of England. My Lady Jane offers an alternative history that shifts events of the original narrative to imagine what could have been if she survived and lived in a world where shapeshifters called Ethians hid among human beings. Although this seems like an odd premise, it still has the same politics and romantic intrigue as Game Of Thrones did, but with added flavor of shapeshifting animal-humans and their place within society.
