According to the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum, Iran has denied it had anything to do with a collision that took place between two oil tanker flying Singapore and Sao Tome & Principe flags respectively.
The crude oil on board both damaged tankers was similar to that which is not from Iran. This is according to an official announcement made by the country’s petroleum ministry over the weekend.
The Hafnia Nile, a tanker from Singapore and Ceres I, an oil tanker flying Sao Tome & Principe flag collided at Eastern channel in Singapore Strait on Friday morning leading to explosion of the latter one. Details were given by Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
