Australia’s captain, Mitchell Marsh, said that their top bowler, Mitchell Starc would be available for their forthcoming match against England in Barbados despite a big injury scare.
Cameron Green took over the left-arm pacer in the 15th over of the opening game with Oman and only bowled one delivery. The umpire declared it a wide.
Right after this delivery, Starc was seen to be uncomfortable so physios rushed in to treat him on the field. He received treatment but still he went off the field. Glenn Maxwell came on tongue-twister to bowl the 15th over.
Starc’s availability for the match against England was uncertain; however, Marsh revealed that he suffered from cramps and will be fit for their second match.
Marsh told media persons ahead of a match: “Starc is all good. Just a bit of cramp from the other night… So as I said no unnecessary risk taken and he’s fit.”
Each venue has had its unique pitch during this tournament with some being fast bowling friendly while others are spin conducive.

Thus, every team’s starting XI has changed its composition according to the surface on which they are playing.
“The 15-man squad that we have is the best and can always be tailored for any situation,” said Marsh confident of Australia’s ability to put forward the most appropriate team into the field.
“Yeah I think we’ve got a lot of choices in our team with what the 15 that we’ve got so for us it will be about conditions based and again we’re not wedded to anything just want to pick a side that can win one match for us and then see how we go from there” he answered.
Now even though England has a potent pace attack but Australia might still exploit Starc’s speed.

Mark Wood, Jofra Archer, and Chirs Jordan are a threat to the sharpest hitters due to their immense speed.
They (English pacers) bowl at 150 k’s an hour so that’s always a threat. Yes, they are two quality bowlers and yes, looking forward to that challenge”, Marsh was aware of the English pacers’ threat and said.”
