New Delhi: Team India T20I team leader Suryakumar Yadav An important milestone in internationalization is about to be achieved cricket Because he is only 39 points away from tying the game Virat KohliSet a record as the second fastest batsman in the world to score 2500 runs in T20 Internationals (T20Is).
Kohli, who retired from T20Is in June 2024 after India won the title T20 World Cup He accomplished this feat in 73 games this season.
In comparison, Suryakumar has amassed 2461 runs in 72 T20I matches so far.
If he scores 39 runs in the second T20I against Bangladesh, he will equal Kohli’s record in exactly the same number of games.
However, the overall record of fastest 2500 T20I runs is held by former Pakistan captain, Babar Azamhe reached this milestone in just 67 games.

Suryakumar Yadav’s opportunity to leave his name in these great matches marks another important milestone in his already impressive T20I career.
In the first T20I against Bangladesh, Suryakumar scored 29 runs in just 14 balls with a strike rate of 207.14.
India won the match comfortably by 7 wickets, beating Bangladesh by a paltry 127 runs and chasing the target with 49 balls to spare.

With India leading 1-0 in the three-match series, all eyes will be on Suryakumar in the second T20I on Wednesday.
If India win one more game, they will end the series and extend their dominance in the Test series that they recently swept 2-0.
