Amazon MGM Studios is happy to announce that its new movie Superboys of Malegaon will be presented in the context of 68th BFI London Film Festival for the period of October 9-20, 2024. The film screening will take place on October 10 at Vue West End and October 12 at Curzon Soho cinema. It succeeds the world premiere of the movie which took place on September 13th, 2023 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
A collaborative production
Suprboys of Malegaon Movie is produce by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, and Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti are all involved. It’s a Mughal film featuring Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh and shashank Arora. The biopic revolves around the lives of Nasir Shaikh, a budding filmmaker of Malegaon, Maahrashtra who decides to make a film along with his friends for the people of their community.
About people from Malegaon
In the film we see Nasir Shaikh compile the pieces so as to construct this film, giving us an insight into small town cinema. The people of small fiom India Malegaon who utilize ibollywood as a crutch of sorts find somewhere to channel their sadness pain and that energy into wannabe Director Nasir. This movie shows how people’s creativity and friendship work in a small town.
Recognition at the BFI London Film Festival
Among the few foreign film festivals in the world, the BFI London Film Festival manages to cover the entire spectrum of films. As the film comes to its debut at the festival, it attracts more interest for its community and film making.
